Operating system hardening is often overlooked but provides a key layer of defence for your systems. This is the process of hardening the settings and configuration of your operating systems, including Linux, MacOS and Windows.

This process performs checks to validate that systems are well configured internally and that all patches and updates have been properly installed and enabled.

In some operating systems, simply installing a patch does not guarantee that it is enabled. This, often has to be performed manually.
